The Headshot Queen OC · Irvine, Californi
Your Royal Questions, Answered.
Everything you need to know before you claim your crown.
The Session Experience
Absolutely not — that's exactly what we're here to prevent. Your session is fully guided from the moment you walk in. We start with a quick chat about your industry, who you want to impress, and the energy you want your photo to project. Then I coach every single pose, every angle, every expression.
You don't need to know how to pose. You don't need to be photogenic. You just need to show up — the Queen handles the rest.
Sessions typically run 30 to 90 minutes depending on your package. The Quick Shot is fast and efficient — in and out with a polished result. The Executive is the full royal treatment: multiple wardrobe changes, multiple backdrops, and enough time to truly relax into your best self.
Plan to arrive about 10 minutes early so you can settle in, touch up, and leave the outside world at the door.
This is the most common thing I hear — and it is also the most satisfying thing to change. Hating your photos is almost always a posing and lighting problem, not a you problem.
My whole process is built around the idea that confidence is contagious. By the time we're done, you'll be looking at images wondering why you ever dreaded this. Clients routinely say it's the most comfortable photo shoot they've ever had.
"I walked out feeling like a completely different version of myself."
The Headshot Queen OC studio is based in Irvine, California — the heart of Orange County. Exact location details are shared at the time of booking.
We also offer on-location mobile studio sessions — we bring the entire setup directly to your office, event venue, or conference space anywhere in OC. Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Anaheim, Laguna Beach — the court travels.
Yes — and it's included in the Executive package. Professional hair and makeup is provided to ensure you are camera-ready from the moment you step in front of the lens. No guesswork, no self-conscious moments staring into a compact mirror.
For the Quick Shot and Top Producer packages, we recommend arriving with your hair and makeup done. We'll provide touch-up tips and guidance before we begin.
Pricing & Packages
Three tiers. Each one designed for a different level of royalty:
- Quick Shot — $290 — 1 retouched image, 1 wardrobe look, clean and polished. When you need it done right, right now.
- Top Producer — $490 — 3 retouched images, multiple wardrobe changes. For the professional who means serious business.
- The Executive — $590 — 4 retouched images, unlimited wardrobe changes, professional hair & makeup, light refreshments. The full crown experience.
Optional upgrade: Full Unretouched Gallery for $1,000 — every shot from the session, delivered in full resolution.
Here's the royal truth: most clients choose The Executive — because when you experience the full session, you'll wish you had booked it from the start. The hair, makeup, champagne, and extra time transform not just the photos but your entire experience.
That said — if you need a quick, sharp LinkedIn update and you already know your look, the Quick Shot delivers beautifully. And Top Producer is the sweet spot for professionals who want options without the full treatment.
When in doubt, go Executive. Your future self will thank you.
We accept all major credit and debit cards, Zelle, and Venmo. A deposit is required to secure your booking, with the balance due at the session.
For corporate and team bookings, we also accept business checks and can provide an invoice for accounting purposes.
Life happens — we understand. We ask for at least 48 hours notice to reschedule your session. Cancellations within 48 hours of the session may forfeit the deposit.
Rescheduling is easy and we'll always work with you to find a new time that fits your royal calendar. Just reach out and we'll take care of it.

What to Wear & How to Prepare
Royal rule number one: solid colors reign supreme. Navy, charcoal, deep burgundy, forest green, black — these photograph beautifully and keep the focus where it belongs: on you.
- Avoid busy patterns, logos, or text on clothing
- Bring 2–3 outfit options — more choices = more variety
- Wear what makes you feel powerful and like the best version of yourself
- Blazers, structured tops, and fitted clothing photograph best
- Iron or steam your outfits before arriving — wrinkles show up more on camera than in real life
When you book, you'll receive a full Wardrobe Guide tailored to your industry so you never have to guess.
A little prep goes a long way. Here's the royal checklist:
- Stay hydrated the day before — well-hydrated skin photographs beautifully
- Get a good night's sleep — the camera catches everything, including tired eyes
- If you color your hair, schedule a touchup 1–2 weeks before (not the day before)
- Men: a fresh shave or neat trim 1–2 days before — the day-of can leave irritation
- Avoid trying anything new with skincare the week before the session
The Executive package includes professional hair & makeup, so you can simply arrive and be pampered.
Yes, if you wear glasses every day — wear them in your headshot. Your headshot should look like you on your best professional day, and if glasses are part of that, they belong in the shot.
We use professional lighting techniques to minimize glare and reflections. If glare is a concern, we can also shoot a clean version without glasses so you have options.
We offer a curated selection of professional backdrops to match your industry, brand, and personal style:
- Classic gray — the timeless choice, works for every industry
- Clean white — modern, fresh, LinkedIn-ready
- Rich black — dramatic, authoritative, powerful
- Deep teal / navy — editorial, sophisticated
- Sky blue gradient — warm and approachable
Not sure which to choose? We'll recommend the backdrop that best serves your personal brand and intended use. The Queen has opinions — and they're good ones.
Team & Corporate Sessions
This is where we absolutely shine. We bring the entire studio to you — lights, backdrops, equipment — and set up right in your office, conference room, or lobby. Your team never has to leave the building.
Every person gets a guided individual session. Every photo is consistent in background, lighting, and style. Your website, LinkedIn page, and marketing materials will finally look like one cohesive brand — not a collection of vacation photos and passport shots.
Use our Team Calculator for an instant quote
We work with teams of 2 to 200+. Small law firm with 4 partners? Done in a morning. Large corporation with multiple departments? We build a full-day schedule and run it like clockwork.
For very large organizations, we offer our Crown Continuity System — a recurring headshot program that keeps your team looking consistent as people join, get promoted, and evolve in their roles. No more mismatched headshots on your website.
Exactly why we built the Crown Continuity System. Growing teams need a headshot process that scales with them. We maintain your organization's exact lighting setup, backdrop, and style specs so that a new hire photographed 18 months after your original session looks like part of the same team.
Ask us about New Hire Portal access — a seamless way for HR teams to schedule individual sessions without starting from scratch every time.
Team pricing is calculated based on the number of people, retouching options, and any add-ons like online scheduling or expedited delivery. Volume discounts kick in at 5, 10, and 15+ people.
The fastest way to get a number: use our interactive Team Pricing Calculator on the Team Headshots page — enter your headcount and preferences, and you'll see a real-time estimate instantly. No phone tag required.
Events & The Royal Headshot Booth
It's the most talked-about activation at any event it attends. A fully professional, branded headshot studio that lives inside your conference, gala, or trade show. Guests walk up, get guided by a professional photographer, and receive polished retouched headshots — sometimes within hours.
No more "I'll get around to updating my LinkedIn photo." Your guests leave with a headshot they're actually excited to use. That's the Royal experience.
Packages starting at $3,999
coached session on the spot. Delivery options range from same-day to within one week depending on your package.

The Royal Headshot Booth is in high demand across Orange County — the earlier you secure your date, the better. Royalty waits for no one.
Your Photos — Delivery & Usage
Retouched images are delivered within 5–7 business days via a private online gallery. You'll receive a link to view, download, and share your portraits in full resolution.
Rush delivery is available if you have a pressing deadline — a conference, a press announcement, a new website launch. Just let us know and we'll make it happen.
Yes — you will look like the best, most polished version of yourself. Not an unrecognizable digital sculpture. We believe in natural, hand-retouched editing that removes temporary distractions (blemishes, stray hairs, under-eye fatigue) while keeping everything that makes you distinctly you.
Lines that tell your story? They stay. We enhance — we don't erase.
Absolutely — that's exactly what they're for. Your headshots are licensed for full commercial personal use: LinkedIn, your professional website, business cards, press kits, speaking bios, email signatures, social media profiles, and marketing materials.
For large-scale commercial campaigns or advertising, please reach out and we'll discuss extended licensing options.
You'll receive your retouched images as high-resolution JPEG files — suitable for both print and digital use. The files are sized and optimized for immediate use on LinkedIn, websites, and professional print materials without any additional editing needed.
If you require specific dimensions or formats for a particular platform or printer, just let us know and we'll accommodate.
The royal standard: every 2–3 years, or whenever there's a significant change in your appearance, your role, or your brand. If you look noticeably different from your headshot — new hair, new position, new chapter — it's time for an update.
The easiest way to know? Ask yourself: if I walked into a room and someone recognized me from my headshot, would they be confused? If yes — time to book.
Your crown should always be current.
Your satisfaction is everything to us. We review selects together before the session ends so you can confirm you have shots you love. Feedback on retouching is welcome — if a specific edit isn't working for you, we'll revise it.
In the rare event you feel the session didn't deliver, reach out and we will work with you to make it right. The Headshot Queen's reputation is built on results — and we stand behind every single one.
